     วันเด็กแห่งชาติที่ 9 มกราคม 2553 นี้ เรือหางแมงป่อง คืนกำไรสู่สังคม เพือให้เยาวชนเชียงใหม่ได้มีโอกาสสัมผัสแม่น้ำปิงอย่างใกล้ชิด และเป็นการปลูกฝังให้เยาวชนช่วยกันอนุรักษ์แม่น้ำลำธาร และป่าไม้ต้นน้ำ
    โดยเริ่มตั้งแต่ 9.00 น. ถึง12.00 น.ที่ท่าเรือหางแมงป่อง หน้าวัดศรีโขง เชิงสะพานนครพิงค์เชียงใหม่
